What Are Chargebacks?
A “chargeback” is when a cardholder refuses to accept responsibility for a charge on their credit card. They may dispute any purchases for up to 180 days. Once disputed, the funds are automatically transferred from the merchant's bank account and the merchant faces a fee. The merchant can dispute the chargeback to retrieve their funds however the merchant is still charged the fee.
At Kubera we value our merchant's success and want to reduce the risk of your business getting chargebacks. Though inevitable, here are some easy steps we can work to avoid the fuss of costly chargebacks.
